Merlin Group and Football Next Foundation’s ‘Barcelona Calling’ initiative for the Indian Football Fans!
Merlin and Football Next Foundation bring one-of-a-kind experience for the Indian football fans. Football is a religion that connects our country and it’s the fans who have kept the enthusiasm and passion alive for the game since time immemorial. To honor the fans, Merlin and Football Next Foundation have taken an initiative, first of its kind in India, to celebrate the fans. Around 100 fans will be sent to Barcelona to get an exclusive Camp Nou experience.
A Press Conference was arranged at Ozora, Acropolis to announce this initiative. The PC was graced by Mehtab Hossain, Footballer and Mr. Swapan Banerjee, Football Secy, Mohun Bagan AC, Mr. Saket Mohta, Joint MD, Merlin Group, Mr. Kaushik Moulik, Founder, Football Next Foundation and members of the Press.
To encourage and engage the fans, Merlin and Football Next Foundation are organizing various activities like online quiz and mobile contests. By participating in these activities, the lucky ones would get this opportunity for the Camp Nou experience.
“With a vision to be a Sports Realty Brand, this is the 1st time in India that a real estate brand has come forward to promote football in the State and the country at large. We believe this effort would popularize the game in the country. We are honored to send few under privileged football fans to Barcelona Darjeeling, Jangal Mahal and other parts of the country”, asserted Mr. Saket Mohta, Joint MD, Merlin Group.
“We are redefining CSR from Corporate Social Responsibility to Corporate Sports Responsibility We believe by engaging the football fans, we would reach out to the football lovers and that would significantly contribute to the development of sports in the country’, said Mr. Kaushik Moulik, Founder, Football Next Association.
A series of upcoming social activities were also announced by Merlin Group and football Next Association.
